hi, just noticed this evening that it takes about 10 seconds (8-12 revolutions) after i change gears for the chain to move into higher gear (smaller gear cog). didnt see this before and dont think it is normal. i recently changed the back group set, swapping sram 13-26 (8speed) for sram 11-30
    (8speed).
    any help appreciated.
    thanks

There should be a barrel adjuster on the rear derailleur. You probably just need to adjust the cable tension a little by twisting it, to align the chain with the cassette

That sounds more like a gear cable problem to me, it might be rusted or frayed at some inside one of the outer sections, causing too much friction. The exposed part of the cable can look fine, but the sections inside the outer cable can get really messed up.

Gear cables are cheap and easy to replace. Plenty of help on youtube if you're not too sure.
