A Problem with Home Sharing

    Hi All,

Please excuse if this has been brought up in the past.

I have a problem with home sharing. None of my iDevices, my Windows laptop nor my ATV want to connect to each other. I have Home Sharing on in every one with the App open in the case of the iDevices. They never show up in the lists on the left in iTunes or in the Remote app.

What I'm left wondering is whether there are yet more settings to configure (aside from the Sharing options in preferences which I set up to no avail) or whether it's something to do with my network. If it's the latter, do you reckon it's the ports or is there some other setting I'm missing? The firewall is off. I tried forwarding ports I found in an Apple discussion thread but it seems my routers requires a static IP address or something similar.

Any ideas? Any advice would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I had this problem myself.I tried it with a different router, everything works perfect.I have found that if you have a communications problem between different devices , it is usually a network / router problem
