Running cooker on Propane Gas

My kitchen cooker is run on butane gas which is fine but my bbq is propane.

I have a cylinder of propane in the garadge for about the last 3yrs, I want to use it up and switch to a butane bbq.

My question is can I use up the propane gas on my kitchen cooker by just changing over the regulator?

    Yes.

Not necessarily, make sure the cooker can take propane at the pressure supplied by the regulator you have. I've seen too many cooker rings burned out by this. If it's a pretty modern one you should be ok.

Any cooker supplied or converted to burn LPG will burn either Butane or Propane.

At the right pressure. I'm holding two regulators right now which will fit both but at different pressures.

Ya it's 5yrs old, a stove's one. I might just ring the shop I bough it in and ask. Thanks.
