Best advice anyone could give is to build your own!
It's far cheaper and you will get a much more powerful computer than you ever would buying off the shelf.

There is a whole forum here on boards dedicated to building computers, "PC Building & Upgrading" (can't link as I'm on phone) where there is a whole host of people waiting to advise you on what you need and how to do it. Just create a new thread there with what you want, what you will use it for and most important your budget. Also mention if you need OS, monitor, keyboard & mouse.

Get an iPad. It will suit your needs far better.

You'll need a cheap PC to sync your stuff but you could always pick one up for 100 quid on adverts.ie
