river way better very cheap in comparision to village, which is nothing short of a dump, in my opinion your better off getting off campus accomodation

River = more expensive, as you no doubt know. However, it contains an ensuite to yourself and has bigger rooms, perfect if you're a bit socially awkward and daren't meet anyone in the hallways:P

Village = cheaper, 2 shared bathrooms per apartment, rooms smaller. Summing it up like this, River seems the obvious choice, but if money's an issue then don't bother with River, once you've settled in to your room and made it your own you'll not notice any space differences. Oh, and you get wireless internet in (most?) of the Village apartments.

Kitchens aren't much different, nor is the distance to lecture halls:P

It'll all depend on the people you live with really, and any ground rules you put down throughout the year. Best of luck!:)
