    Hello all,
2002 megane saloon, rear drivers side door.
My young lad went to get in today, the door wouldn't open, just like it was locked (it wasn't). I could open it from the inside but not outside. Popped the central licking a few times, tried to release it but no good. Tried to distinguish if I could hear the cluck from that particular door but couldn't make it out.
Anyway, me being a genius threw the childlick toggle. Still not sure why. Now obviously, I cannot open the door from either side. The car is due for service in September, so I will have it checked then if hasn't resolved. Just wondering if anyone knew a way of getting the door open, even just to release the childlock.

    Thanks.
    Jim

D'oh. Maybe take a look at the mechanism on the opposite door to see if you can figure out how to release it by jamming something in there. The old coat hanger trick might work too.

In most cars you can get at the mechanism by removing the trim from inside the door. It's probably very simple (something's become disconnected), but you've made it a whole lot harder by closing the door :D
