    Hi all.

I know this topic has been covered before and as far as I am aware the standard method for the above (for youtubage) is to use some screen recording device.

I sent a mail to roadhawk support this morning and they responded in a very timely manner.

Turns out the software allows for .avi exporting.

I think I already knew about this but couldn't get it working.

Trick is to manually add the .avi extension to the file when saving (even after selecting avi file type).

Works a treat. No more damn screen recording.

I was going to throw up the video of a V10 R8 Spyder trying to cut me up on a roundabout but it has been 'taped' over :(

    Anyway, hope its useful.

haha, whats the day job? hope its not exporting RH videos :)
im thinking of getting rid of mine, some nice HD recorders on ebay that seem to be a lot better.

In fairness, the extraction process is pretty appalling with the Roadhawk.
If you don't know much about codecs and file formats etc, you haven't a hope.

I'm happy enough with the simplicity of the unit and the quality of the video, but it could be better overall.

Not quite but it does involve a PC.

Think you're right. i still have one in a box for OH that I never installed. Thinking of getting rid of both for some more functional and cheaper options - (edit) or put my new Android to use.

Might lose a fair bit on the RH's though :(
