what are peoples experiences with these? Worth it? I am going to try one for the first time soon in just cuts, anybody tried there?
I assume your facial hair can be of any length

Went to Turkey a few weeks back and got my first one there. My face hasnt been that smooth since I was 10 years old, its very relaxing.

Alis Turkish Barber on Aungier street gets very good reviews.

Longer the better :) a straight doesnt care.

I recommend the Irish Barber in the laneway just off Grafton St (next to Applebys Jeweller) - you even get a glass of wine.
You can have a drool at the straight razors for sale too.

Or for the old school there is no better than Liam at the Waldorf Barbers on Westmoreland St. They use real straights, none of your disposables.

Wouldn't think Just Cuts would be that great tbh - but haven't had a shave there. Ask them what they use before committing; if it's a mach3 at any point forget it.

+1 for these guys, they really make an experience out of it and don't charge through the roof.

i was in a barbers a good while ago in blanch and they tried to get me to have a *special* hot towel shave for 40 quid. :(

    needless to say i declined.

i get terrible beard rash when i shave with any kind of a razor, no matter what i put on it before, during or after (and trust me i've tried absolutely everything in the last 20 years i've been shaving to fix it), so i just trim it down to stubble once a week with a beard trimmer now unless i'm going for a job interview or something like that.

the only time i don't get a rash is with a hot towel shave, but i don't trust myself enough with a straight razor (or have enough time and/or patience) to do it myself at home, so it just has to be a rare treat every now and again if i happen to have some spare time and i'm passing somewhere that does it.

how much does the place that gives you wine cost? Sounds great!

I think €28 for a shave - but they may have dropped prices.

Call Adam on 0866025667 for an appointment but they are usually justy drop in.

Waldorf is €32 but everyone should have a shave in Waldorfs one in their life. Ask for the hair tonic massage afterwards, it's awesome.
