Voip options for O2 Hotshot

    Hi all,

I have mobile broadband, using an O2 Hotshot.

I want to setup a voip for my home office. I have a goldfish.ie voip line already sorted.

    What are my options -

Do I have to use a wireless IP phone, and if so will this - http://sipphonereport.com/sip-phone-review-7-the-nortel-ip-1535-.aspx be ok to use? And if not then why not?

The other option I think i have is to use an ethernet bridge with a standard ip phone. In that case will this work - http://www.amazon.com/Netgear-WGR614-Wireless-G-Router/dp/B00008SCFL with a Yealink T18p or something similar?

Or am I just trying to be too simple about it all :o

Anyone got any ideas on what options I have?

    Cheers,

Mobile broadband isn't suitable for voip as its minimum latency will be around 110ms+, far too high for voip to work well. You'll need a dsl, cable or fixed wireless service to use it, these have low latency
