I got my grant review application from north tipp vec two days ago, i have got each section filled out apart from the college part. I went in today (i'm in the univeristy of limerick) but they couldn't stamp my form because i won't be able to register till september. The problem is this form has to be in by august. Anybody else have this situation, especially people from north tipp? Thanks.

Thats stupid - tell the college that you need it filled in and that you wont leave until they fill it in

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Haha will do. I'm only asking them to stamp it, nothing more nothing less.

I think you send it in after you have registered.

I've heard that you send in the form containing details about your distance from college, pps number etc and send in the rest after registration, has anybody else done this? Haven't got any reply from the VEC yet.

If i don't get any reply, i'll just send in the pink form and the rest when i am registered. I have the letter and i'm entitled to the grant so i don't want to lose out.

On what page of the review form does your college have to stamp it? I'm looking at my review forms here and failing to see anywhere where the college have to stamp it. They have never had to stamp it before when I applied in my 1st and 2nd year.

Not all review forms have to be stamped by colleges. None of the review forms sent out the grant authority in my area need to be stamped by the college.

I filled out and sent the form away minus the bit with college registration because UL won't register students until september. I sent an e-mail to my vec explaining the situation, i got no response from them for two weeks till today. They said they wanted to talk to me about it, they said they'd get in contact with me. Might be something small, but waited around the day didn't receive any reply back. This grant malarkey isn't straightforward :P.
