Anybody have good ideas for finding the cheapest flights between Oz and Ireland?

Been looking into flights back home for christmas (never to early!).

The best I can come up with so far is finding flights on skyscanner from Oz to somewhere like Amsterdam/Frankfurt/any of the big airport hubs in Europe, and catching a ryanair from there.....

Also, anybody with experience of this, what would you normally pay for a round trip?

    Thanks!

Try www.jetabroad.com.au or zuji.com.au. Did the trip 3 times round Christmas and from memory it cost about 2.5k per person. Enjoy your trip home :)

Might you be better to book the entire flight with the one airline just because if the weather is bad like last year you might loose out with the Ryanair leg.
Try Etihad, they seem to have fairly flat rates throughout the year.

OP please use the search function on the forum, this question has been answered a lot of times, have a look at skyscanner.com or airasia if you want the really cheap route to Oz (london -> KL -> Melbourne)
