Coming back from ankle injury?

    Hi all.

I've recently got into running (well ok, I'm huffing and puffing through the couch to 5k program! but was really enjoying it); but Ive badly sprained my ankle. Tripped on a stairs and landed all my weight on it . This was about 7 weeks ago now and it's still a bit sore at times but I'm getting around fine and walking loads (and danced all night at a wedding last weekend) so thought I was well on the way to recovery, but I had to run 200 yards for a bus the other day and the pain nearly floored me. Obviously the motion of running is a lot different to walking or dancing.

I've a physio appointment again next week and will ask her about it; but I was wondering if any boardsies could tell me their experiences of how long it took to get back running after a bad sprain?
