Just a reminder of a great photo opportunity tomorrow with the Dublin Zombie Walk, 13,000 have signed up to the Facebook page, even if a portion of that turn up it'll be great. They are also on for the Guinness World Record of Zombies in one place Unfortunately I'm going to miss it due to an injury :mad:

Planning on taking some portraits with a 50mm f/1.4 lens - but it's my first time at the Zombie Walk and I'm hesitating if that's even possible. Is it very chaotic?

Can anyone tell me; I would assume the best thing to do here, if you want good close-up shots, is arrive early for the walk, and approach the Zombies as they're all congregating in the park before the walk, and ask them if you can take their photo?

Snotra & KKV, yeah last year everyone well up for their portraits, and at the start is probably best as there'll be a massive horde on the move once it gets going!

Went in to see the Zombie walk today and it was excellent. Looked well organised and fair play to everyone who went to a lot of trouble and put in such effort to raise funds for charity. Here are 3 photos.

Yep pretty sure I saw you, but you're not in the pics... except maybe the back of your head I was the short girl with the camera... em... black top and jeans and not a zombie, very distinctive

I was there but stayed well in front of the "walk" ....in a bad attempt to get a decent crowd shot (Irish Times/Daily Mail and some (2/3) agency photographers were also there - at least those were some of the photographers I recognised)

I'm still in two minds as to whether I should send my stuff out to the papers - will prob send 3 or 4 images - Im not happy with mine.

The pure number of photographers this year was unreal. I'd say there were maybe 40% more zombies this year, but 500% of the photographers or more. The two that stick out in my mind were the guy with an old film wind up(the aul fella knows the make) and some chap using two cameras on a double mount.

So far I here the sunday mail has run some, gonna have a looksee in centra on the way home in a bit.

Cheers man appreciate the nice words, was going to awhile ago but I was afraid I would get absolutely slaughtered and I couldn't take the pain of it

I have only really gotten into photography in the last year or so and there is still so much that I haven't gotten up to speed with on yet.

Hey Adrian was checking out some of your pics looked like we would of been in around the same vicinity towards the end of the walk.

As I have a similar picture of that creepy looking like kid and then also I was around when that dude got up on top of the phone box.

We must have been. Mind you, I was running around a bit. I was easy to spot - short, fat, bald, bearded, 50 (ish) and two cameras swinging out of a harness (my younger daughter cringed when I met her with her friends in Temple Bar Square later!)

Hi there.....was browsing the internet and came across your photo......followed your link great pictures....wasn't sure if I should have been proud or insulted at the comments (little horror) lol! as this is my little girl...... and it was me who did the face painting....... :-D

You did a great job on the make-up. Your daughter is a natural in front of the camera. No matter the direction a camera was pointed from she turned to it and gave a performance. Hope she had a great time.

Thanks for coming out and putting in the time snapping guys

It sort of exploded beyond our control this year with the numbers attending.
We did our best with what we had to work with. It didn't seem that big in the park. It was like they where in hiding or something.

It's a shame we had to call it quits early so the traffic could have the road back.

But it was a bloody excellent day.
This was the moment I realized the scale of what we'd done.(I'm the handsome one in Yellow.)

I couldn't believe We filled DAWSON Street.
