Magny Cours is in central France, near Lyon or Dijon.

If you're driving down from Cherbourg or Roscoff then Loheac is definitely worth a day, I can thoroughly recommend it. Some pics on this page, its near Rennes. Then theres this place near La Rochelle but I've never been there, again only handy if you're driving.

Theres a small museum in Pomport near Bordeaux, it has about 25 cars, I meant to go there but never did because of time constraints. I think the owner has his own vineyard too if you're into that sort of thing.

You should ask in the local Tourist Office or pick up a classic car magazine in a shop, they will have a calender of local events, maybe something is on nearby.
