Id say he is about 43. Its makes a mockery of over 40-45 master prizes in races. For example a guy who finishes forth in a half marathon with only top three senior prizes gets nothing yet the third over 40 gets a prize even if he is 8 minutes slower than the other guy, based on the assumption that he is too old to compete with senior athletes.

Whatever his age, he's an amazing athlete. No doubt about it.

Savage athlete but hasn't he won junior world titles? I remember looking at a junior world cross a few years ago and a lot if the Africans looked closer to 30 than 20. I think this problem has been brought up many times before.

Don't think it's too much of an issue now, although his age being out by 5 years is still quite a bit. There is after all a certain Irish mile runner who has proven what is possible once your a vet wrong. I've no problem with him being an old fart and getting decent times as it means the rest of us potentially have a bit longer to go before the times start going backwards.

It is a bit cheeky to be entering people in their mid 20's into junior races still, and they should be tightening up on that. Can't they pull a tooth out and count the rings on it or something like on a tree?
