So, I just bought myself a reasonably decent camera and want to get to know how to use it properly. Can anyone point me in the direction of some good online resources for a beginner?

What type of tuition are you looking for? How to press the buttons and what they do, ie camera specific, general techniques or theory. If you can get a good book. The peeps here would recommend Understanding Exposure. An easy read and will get you thinking about light.

Understanding Exposure is a good guide for the beginner. Many of the
subjects covered in the book are also covered on the author's YouTube
    channel. http://www.youtube.com/user/ppsop2009
