Hi, just wanted to share with you a small clip I took of Bruno Sammartino coming back to our hometown in Italy (Pizzoferrato) to celebrate his 75th birthday last October :)

He doesn't look a day over 74 :pac:

Everybody needs to hear the story about Bruno cage-fighting the orangutang in and losing.

    Love how he says "Monkey"

    An amazing man.

It's a shame there's next to no footage from WWE about this guy. From the little i've seen on him around the first wrestlemania he was really over with the fans. For someone who's apparently a bigger draw than Hulk Hogan, it's a travesty he's pretty much swept under the rug.

His son man, wow David Flair or what! talent is not genetic :P

He comes across as an absolute gentleman in interviews. He's had an amazing life and I could listen to him all day talking about it.

Here's a link of a news report of Samartino returning home talking about hiding from the Nazis. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

agree 100% he is real kind and gentle. it was funny to see him surronded by kids that pesteredthe hell out of him all day long :D he had a pretty rough time before he moved to the US with the war and everything. but he made it thru. its nice that he wont forget about his roots.

Incredible vid, wonder if some of my friends know they showed up on American TV ...LOL
