Everyone knows a bike is the best mode of transport when the country grinds to a white, brown and slushy halt in winter.......and a bike with the right tyres is safer than walking.

Snow tyres were out of stock everywhere at the time so bought these on impulse in the CRC summer sale to get ready for winter. I meant to get the MTB version but these are for 700C wheels.

    Continental Nordic - 240 spikes.

Brand new and unused. Anyone want to make a reasonable offer before I send them back to CRC?

I'll deliver if not too far from Dublin city centre.

They're a bit wide at 42mm, but I'd pay €40 for the pair on the off-chance that they fit.

I don't know many bikes that would have the clearance. I guess a 29er MTB would.

@chakattack, Off topic I know but when it comes to buying MTB tyres I can recommend the Schwalbe Marathon Winter tyres. But don't buy them from CRC as they are cheaper here, and might even be cheaper elsewhere too at the moment.

Very interested but prob just need 1. Can offer 30euro for 1 but wont have cash till next week. I had a schwalbe studded tyre for the last big freeze, defintely the best mode of transport in that weather, safer than walking and the roads are empty. I remember trying to get a 2nd tyre and all of europe was sold out except for some very expensive nokians that cost around 80each

    Hi Kumate,

I only want to sell them as pair and I'd need to get at least 37 each for them.

Unless someone else wants to take one? Probably only critical on the front wheel because you can control most rear wheel slides.

If you want them both I can hold them for you until you have the cash.

You lack the smell of desperation. I'll take my carpet bag elsewhere.
