Blackburn to go down 7/2

I reckon there's good value to be had on Blackburn going down this season.

    1. The owners haven't shown any commitment financially so far. The most exciting transfer news have been links with Beckham and Ronaldinho. Both in the latter stages of their careers.

    2. The owners haven't a clue. Replacing Sam Allardyce with Steve Kean is absolute madness.

    3. Steve Kean hasn't done anything to date to inspire confidence. Avoiding relegation by 4 points is no great achievement.

    4. Solid ownership is vital for a club. Blackburn remind me alot of Newcastle a few seasons ago, when they were relegated with Mike Ashley making daft decisions. And the same with West Ham last season.

Just think the 7/2 bet is good value.
    IMO

What about Bolton? If they lose Cahill that's 4/5 of last season's star players to either leave or suffer a serious injury (star players = Cahill, Davies, Holden, Sturridge and Elmander). They haven't replaced Elmander, and Holden may not be the same player he was last season. Kevin Davies is another year older and there have been rumours that Bolton are not in a position to buy, in fact, if my sources are correct, any money gained from sales this summer will not be reinvested. So if Cahill goes, I shall be throwing a few quid sown on their relegation anyways, and if Y.P. Lee follows him out, to which there have been rumours, it seems likely they will be in the mix next April/May. Their one saving grace is the manager, still worth a shot tho.

Blackburn to be lowest scorers at about 15/1 - Jason Roberts will start the season as a starting striker, they are incredibely average all over the pitch, they might contain teams well enough, but I can't see them scoring.

Not having any bet yet but will be keeping a close eye on what happens at qpr.
Blackburn could very well go down, not a bad price at all

Backed Villa at 25/1 a couple of weeks ago. McCleish has relegated teams twice and his negative football won't do them too many favours. This Summer they have got rid of the following players:

Ashley Young (Manchester United, £20m), Stewart Downing (Liverpool, £20m), Nigel Reo-Coker, John Carew, Moustapha Salifou, Robert Pires, Isaiah Osbourne, Harry Forrester, Arsenio Halfhuid, Durrell Berry, Ellis Deeney, Calum Flanagan (all released), Brad Friedel (Tottenham, undisclosed).

Only Given has come in so far. Downing and Young are a massive loss. While there is plenty of talk of them bringing in new blood, there is little sign of it so far.

Thats a great price in fairness, especially with the players they have lost.

I think Villa's defence is too good, add to that a very solid keeper and a 20 goal a season striker it's hard to see how they'd be relegated. I'd almost fancy them to finish in the top 8 with N'Zogbia, Birmingham under McLeish came very close to doing so 2 seasons ago.

Ah yeah it's a bit of a punt. I'd question how well Bent will do playing under McLeish's defensive style but to be fair their defence is good.

Hopefully Everton might nab N'Zogbia off them as I think he's a total bargain at £9.5m.

15/1 on Blackburn being the lowest goalscorers next season seems a bit of a steal too. Though if Santa Cruz was fit I'd shy away from it. Then again, pigs may fly that day too.

A strike force of Benjani, Santa Cruz and Roberts :)

Now 12's with PP!! They don't have Santa Cruz, he went back to Man City and is being shipped overseas - A strikeforce of Benjani and Roberts.

I think Hoilet will be playing upfront this season, he finished the season very well and is a good player. I dont think they'll go down but 7/2 are decent odds.

I backed Blackburn to finish bottom at 16/1. I think Steve Morgan has ensured that particular bet is doomed to failure.
