Apple warranty if purchased online.....

Just off the phone to tech "support" who have advised that the order date to Apple is the date that the warranty begins. So if you send an order to Apple for an iPad and there is 6 weeks waiting time and shipping, you will lose 6 weeks of your warranty.......I used to work up there in TS, and I thought they had all that…

Just be aware of it for repair or APP purchasing reasons.
