In my experience if you ring them up and set up a direct debit they don't charge you the penalty. At least that's what they did for me. Got a bill for a small fortune but they only charged be the €6 once I set up the DD.

I find it hard too pay these guys. I'v too travel too athlone or Roscommon too pay the m50 toll. I can't pay it in my town and now they want 146 euro. If they had a place too pay in in my town it would be on time. When I come back from Dublin the shops that do in athlone are closed.

    Hi tinyjiney,

Sorry you have been having difficulty. Do you have a payment reference number? I could have a look at this for you if you send me the licence plate number and name/address of the registered owner by private message.

The easiest way to avoid having to pay for your tolls is to signup for an account, the tolls are cheaper and as gpf101 says you only get billed once a month.

You can get more info. on our web site:

    www.eflow.ie

Note: for data protection/security reasons, we can only discuss details with the named registered owner of the vehicle.

    Hope this helps J

    Hi cena,

Just to advise: For data protection/security reasons, we can only discuss details with the named registered owner of the vehicle.

Payment can also be made by calling 1890 50 10 50 (the payment line is open between 7am and 11pm seven days a week) and online at www.eflow.ie.

We have a registration option for infrequent users, which has no monthly fees and reduces the toll cost/has payment set up automatically and eliminates penalties.

    Hope this helps

It would seem from reading many threads on the M50 toll recently that people are unaware that you can set up an account for free on the internet and pay at your leisure.

Is it the case that it should be more widely advertised?

Ditto for me !! Was using the toll a lot and was paying at local garages etc but some were missed leaving me with huge fines and lengthy phone calls to eToll trying to sort it out.

Was told if I set up a Video Account and register a Laser/Debit card the fines would be waved. Saved me a small fortune and now I don't need to worry about it anymore !

I had a similar issue before, I forgot to pay, then got the €6 fine then went to the station and paid that (but did not tell them that it was a fine) They topped up my account for another trip on the M50 rather than it coming off my account and the fine...
I rang up and explained, no problems...

More recently, I have a tag now, was going through the M4-6 Galway toll, the tag did not work, a car behind me in the express lane nearly creamed me, had to leave the express lane and pay with change. Later rang eflow and asked the problem, they explained that the tag was cancelled by them as the most recent payment did not go through...! A payment of €50 or so, there is always more than €50 in my account... They said to deal with the bank, asked the bank and they said that it was etoll's problem.
Rang etoll again, said that they had trouble getting payments from multiple accounts that day :mad:, they were bloody quick to cancel my tag and get me rear ended though...:mad:

I've a Tolltag, I think the name of the company is Parkmagic, and I've been really happy with it. It's a pay as you go system and when your credit runs low they top it up automatically from your credit card. I don't use the motorways regularly so the monthly type ones didn't suit me.

I once had a problem with my payment going through and they texted me to let me know and I rang them and it was sorted immediately. Anytime I have rung they've been really helpful.

I've nothing to do with the company, just a happy customer!!:D

AHHH you poor sod....:o....You'll end up paying whatever bill they send you...it is after all a business...their motto is "the customer is NEVER right"...no matter if you've tried to pay THEIR NOT GOING TO BELIEVE YOU...just pay it and move on...dont be fooled by posters trying to "help" you out...it wont change anything...They're trying to portray a nicey nicey picture of Eflow...;)

    Hi Oral Surgeon,

Is that issue resolved now, or would you like me to investigate it further for you?

    Hi Cena,

The retailers at which you can pay the M50 toll have the Payzone facility – www.payzone.ie gives a list of all such outlets, so you should be able to find outlets that are convenient to you on it.

We also offer registration for infrequent users of the toll, which is free to have and reduces the cost of the toll trip by 50 cent.

    Regards :)
    Una

    Thanks Una,
They reactivated my tag a few days later and payments have come out as normal since then.
    Thanks anyway,
