Applying for JB

    Hi All,
Quick question. I am applying for Jobseekers Benefit after being made redundant. I have a few questions that hopefully someone can answer:

I am being given a payment (less than the lower cutoff of €50k) but I will not be getting this until the end of August. Does this still count as me being employed by the company, as they still have to pay me that payment (without any salary)?
Also, on the application form, it asks about co-habitants. I am moving back home as I cannot afford rent anymore. Does this mean I need to put down my parents information?

    Thanks

If you have got your p45 or are about to,and are not getting payed by a company you are unemployed.

You will have to put down you parents details this will not effect your JSB claim.

No p45 yet, as I officially leave next Friday!

    Thanks

If your p45 is not available on the day you leave get a letter from your employer stating that you have been made redundant and also stating the gross amount of redundancy you will be paid and then get yourself down to your local sw office and apply for jsb. You can download the form from the link below and have it filled out saves a bit to time. There is also a list of documents you need to bring with you.
