Crash Repair

    Hi All,

just had a nasty prang on a roundabout. Spun in the wet and hit curb and pole, putting out left rear suspension and rear passenger door.

Raging, as I am due to trade in the car on Saturday.

Anyway I am looking for a good crash repairer in Dublin to get an estimate from. I already have an estimate from Dennings, who I have dealt with in the past and are very good. However, I want to get a second and maybe third opinion on cost to maximize the information I have in talking to the dealer I am due to trade with on Saturday.

As things currently stand, my options are:

    1) Get an estimate of cost off repairs, and offer to pay that to the dealer I am trading in with

    2) Pay cash for the new car, get old car repaired and sell privately.

    3) Get it repaired, inform dealer of repair and see what impact that will have on the trade in value.

Any thoughts/ comments / suggestions are much appreciated,

    CP

    3) Scrap deal, get old car repaired and keep.

Try Crofton Motors on Sundrive Rd, i've used them a couple of times following recommendations here. IMO their work isn't quite top-notch, but it's very good, they're very easy to deal with, and they're keenly-priced.
