    Hi there

Does anyone know if I can use a 3v card to book The Gresham in Dublin?

Or if I can use it to book and then pay in cash at the hotel?

As I'm at work I can't ring them and have emailed them but no reply as yet?

    Thanks in advance.

Apologies if I posted this in the wrong place.

As far as I can remember you can't use it to book hotel or things where you would have to produce a card, as with 3V all you have is a piece of paper with a code. If you have a laser card they might accept that instead.

Yeah I was thinking that thanks, I have used it before but was paying the entire amount of the room at the time and not just booking it.

There are other options: Visa Prepaid, O2 prepaid
I won a few quid from Visa - money pre-loaded on a physical card which is exactly like a regular card. I've been using 3V since they piloted them years ago for various hosting sites or vendors whose bona fides I'd be wary of. Used Prepaid in a restaurant - you get a PIN and card has longer expiry date.
