Getting a grant when estranged

I'm nearly 18 years old and I've been estranged for a month.

I need to know what evidence i need to give forward in my grant application to prove this. Also if someone is married does this count them as an independent?

You will need some bills that are in your own name to show that you don't live at home anymore. The grant office is usually quite helpful so give them a call. Make sure to do it early as it can lead to long delays in getting the grant.

Usually its once you're under 23 then its based on your parents, but there must be a way to declare you are an independent.

I would just not let the grant office know who you are when you're applying
