seems very similar to donedeal or gumtree, you're dealing with the other buyer and the site won't care if you get scammed.

those ones are from china, and the cheapest G Shocks on amazon are £50, so these are almost certainly fakes (the seller also has "louis vuitton" bags for €50  ). customs could well seize it as a fake, and leave you out of pocket.

if it looks too good to be true, etc, etc.

i know for certain they are fake.but i've never ever had anything opened by customs from stuff i've bought online so why would they open these?

Customs have stepped up their efforts to stop fakes as they are illegal. But like me and you they are human and can't stop everything. If fakes are getting through it is because someone missed them or you got lucky. Just look at the sports forums on here and all of the fake jerseys and apparel getting stopped recently compared to years gone.

But at the end of it Customs are entitled to open every package from outside the EU to check whether its genuine or not.

For the most part the fact the product comes from Asia is enough for them to open it up. Im sure they look at trends of where parcels come from and have a list of where counterfeits come from. But not only that as its coming from outside the EU it could be opened to verify it is what it says on the label for tax purposes.
