A friend of mine has just given me an Aquarium but i know very little about
about how to get it up and running.
Ive been doing some research in to what size water heater is required.
The problem is it seems to be a bit big. The tank holds 350 liters.
According to some web sites ill need two 300 watt heaters.
Could this be true, it seems a bit much?
    cheers.......

Yep you'll need at the bare minimum 450 watts - so probably best get two 250 watts or two 300watts heater.

Eheim Jager do a heater that will do it no problem. Think it's the 300w one. They are also by far the most reliable heater on the market.

Thanks for the replies, is dose seem a bit much but i suppose it is heating
a rather large amount of water.
My wife went into pet world Athlone yesterday and priced a filter.
I cant remember the price or make but they wanted something around e250 for a filter to suit the tank size. (must be made by NASA)
Can any one recommend any good filters that would be some what cheaper in price.
    Thanks............

Two 250w heaters will do the trick.
I have one 250w in a 350l tank is it works fine.
