Terminonaris, new prehistoric croc

Just found out about this one :> Seems that Terminonaris, a gharial-like Sarcosuchus relative, was already found from other parts of the world and was thought to have appeared in Europe- however the new specimen is also the oldest-96 million years- and was found in Texas.

It would have been around 7.6 meters, maybe up to 8 meters, being larger than modern day saltwater crocs.

being gharial like I assume it was mainly a fish eater. But if it was so big, it makes me wonder on what it's food supply may have been.

Yes, probably mainly a fish eater, but let us not forget that the false gharial eats deer and monkeys once in a while, and this one even ate a grown up man (its not the first time it happens) after snatching him from shallow waters:





Huge and all, this false gharial is smaller than Terminonaris, so...
