Breaking up with LDR

Met a girl a while back.... got on well. She lives in a different part of the country and we were travelling over and back on alternative weekends.

I just amn't that into her even though she's really nice. She seems keen.

I normally do the break up thing face to face and as she's been away on holidays for a fortnight I've been keeping the texts non-commital and general.

How do I break up? Over the phone?

If it's in person, I will have to travel across and do it (but she'll be expecting a weekend of fun with me) - so it'll basically be turn up, say what I ahve to say and leave? I don't mind doing the travelling but I've no time at the mo at weekends.

Or over the phone which I hate doing....

    Any words of advice.

Can you drive over and back in the same day?

TBH, while I would not norally advocate breaking up over the phone, I think in this case, given the distance involved, its ok to do it but get it dont sooner rather than later.

Since you're still in the same country I would do it in person. Ring her and tell her you need to talk when you're coming over (but not too long in advance) and go over. I know you might not have much free time but it's a once off.
I wouldn't even do it over the phone for someone who lived a short flight away, so in the same country is not far enough away either for the phone

    OP here...

It's only been about 2 months and I've seen her maybe 8 times... does that still need a face to face?

    Need no.

    Right thing to do yes.

If you ring her and tell her you need to talk i'm sure she'll pick up on it anyway and you might have to say it over the phone to her.

Can you drive up and back in one day like the other poster suggested?
