I assume the car failed on emmissions because you mention using Dipthene?
It could be the catalytic converter or the exhaust manifold.
I'd same problem myself with emmissions.
Check to see is there black "soot" above the manifold to see if it's cracked.
You could get a crack welded, but this is a temporary job. I was quoted 240 for a new cat and manifold.

    I can't see that report? It's teeny!

Could be a number of things, if you used diptane right and drove the bag out of the car before the test it's gonna be something more serious.

    What is it?

Not far off infairness, a friend of mine got 5.00 in a Carina recently.

Did you give the car a good hard run before you but it through? You normally fill the tank and throw in the diptane, takes 2 days ish to have full effect then take it for a revvy run out the motorway before the test.

diptane in 1 week before + more 2day + full tank and ran it for 45mins before

    Confused a tiny bit there.

Best bet is to get thee to a handy mechanic for a look and report back!

most likely, arent seat german? if so, go to G.S.F (german, swedish, french) they in western ind est off naas rd, and get a spurious cat. Save a fortune on an original.
