    anyone know what it costs to get a site valued for a property transfer

    Depends on the nature of the existing or intended use. Would also depend on whether its a green field site or a high rise building.

    You could expect to pay around 100 - 150 euro + VAT for residential property valuations.

    Would it normally be more to get a residential ( normal ) house valued ? I know someone who got a house valued and it cost a lot more than that, and all the chancer of an auctioneer did anyway was think up a figure and write it on a piece of paper. A different "valuer" valued it @ 20% differently. Anyway, ten minutes " work", if that. Someone else I know once got a valuation done for nothing, but she told the auctioneer she was thinking of selling. Should'nt it be regulated...we saw already in recent years the effect of lack of regulation in other aspects of the financial services "industry".
