    hi lads

I've priced this for a quick sale, a complete top level bike at a great price

    Specialized S-Works E5 road bike
Built using their S-Works pro race technology and aero tube shape design
Columbus E5 aluminium tubing with full S-Works carbon fork - most guys who know frames will tell you that an alu frame of this standard is far better than all but the very best and very expensive carbon frames
Very light and super stiff frame, and awesome ride
Size 56cm sloping with 56.5cm top tube
    Ltd edition matt black
    Specialized S-Works carbon seat post
Full Campag Chorus 10 speed carbon groupset, incl carbon levers, carbon chainset and carbon rear mech
Campag Khamsin wheels (only 3 months old) with Vittoria Open Corsa Evo CX tyres
    Fizik Arione saddle
BBB bars with Lizard Skinbar tape
    Specialized bottle cages
    (no pedals)

Everything runs perfectly and smoothly, with new chain and cassette
Paint work is immaculate apart from slight wear on one of the decals on the top tube (see picture)
Slight tear in one of the brake hoods, replacing these is the only thing required to make perfect
2008 model bike so 3 years old but absolutely mint - bike has actually been in the attic for the past year
    Cost over €3,000 in 2008

Willing to sell this complete bike for €875 for a quick sale ......
...... and actually, I'll include red Look pedals for the first person who offers close to the asking price

(also willing to consider selling without the wheels for €775)

    thanks lads, grab a bargain

Forgot to mention that this bike has the S-Works full carbon fork aswell. The whole package is very light and super stiff.

My buddy will probably be interested in this, though he's in cork. I'll let him know

Cheers D'land. I'm sure we could arrange something.

    What size is the crankset?
    And where are you located?

    Hi
If the wheels are separate I might be interested.

    Have they a shimano rim?

52-39 and 170mm. In city centre during the day, south Dublin in evening
I could supply an alloy 172.5 either, I'll throw it in

@ yop, only selling wheels with bike. If someone wants the bike without wheels, I'll keep the wheels.

I'd be looking for more of compact crankset.

Would love this but can't justify another bike !
Have to say that is a super bike for the price.
Dealt with Dangerous Dave before and he's a straight and easy guy to deal with.
Whoever gets this is getting an absolute bargain.

Thanks thebigmc, size info is above. Let me know what else you need to know

@ ckeego, do you want to do a deal?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 206 ✭✭thebigmc

Apologies about pm, it was to request if it would be possible to try the bike to see how it fits me before making a definite offer.

But now I think it's almost definitley too small for me at a height of 6ft2, would that be right?

It might be ok, depending on whether you like a frame on the smaller side or larger side. If not, a 58 might suit better to be honest. But you should be able to get your position right on this if you prefer a 'tight' sized frame, as I do.

Dangerous D...Sorry about the delay but was called away abroad on short notice. Just back late last night and still keen as mustard about the bike.

I have a feeling I was talking to you a while back about bikes on the phone..maybe it was another SPECIALIZED??!!

I am around South Dublin for the next few days, so PM details and I will give you a bell. Offer still stands pending an inspection.

    Many thanks CK.

Thanks for coming back to me, no problem at all.
Fair enough, offer of 800 accepted. I'm in Cork til tomorrow at a wedding, so I'll PM you to arrange maybe for Monday if that suits? Might be able to do tomorrow evening if i get back early enough. Somewhere around South Dublin would suit.

It must have been someone else you were talking to about another Specialized bike.
    Cheers

I've been telling the missus how we must make some cut backs and all the rest but I'd be sorely tempted if things don't work out with the other buyer.

I'm down in Cork and I'm currently hacking away on hybrid and am interested in upgrading to a road bike.

Hopefully the sale works out for you but fire a post up if it doesn't.
