South side Dublin band Jupiter Forest are looking for an experienced Bass player between mid 20's to early 30's. Currently we have a lead singer, guitarist and drummer.
We are an originals band with a good number of fully written songs so we require a solid bass player who can come and play the bass lines. we just recently played support to Justin and the Visitors in Shebeen Chic and have been offered more gigs. Our sound varies between mellow acoustic to hard hitting rock. We are extremely focused on crafting each song and playing in a way that best suits each song so, we are mainly looking for someone who is solid on the bass and does the basics first (i.e. keeping tight with the drummer).
We are all extremely dedicated to this and are really hoping to make a good go of it so we need someone who is going to be dedicated, punctual, available to rehearse twice a week and up for doing regular gigging. We are looking for someone who is ideally based near Dublin city centre or on the outskirts. We rehearse in Unit 1 rehearsal studios off South Circular Road.
Some of our influences would be:
TURN, Depeche Mode, Echo and the Bunnymen, INXS, The Cure, Led Zeppelin, Genesis (Peter Gabriel era), Ash, Goo Goo Dolls, Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, Oasis, Erasure
