Extending an 8-pin 12V ATX connector

    Hi all,
I need to extend a connector to reach the 8-pin 12V ATX connection on a motherboard (large tower case, PSU on bottom).

    PSU has the 8-pin split into 2 * 4.

So in the absence of having other cables available on short notice I'm considering one of these solutions (more for the extra cable length than the actual adaptations):

    (1) Use an akasa 4 Pin ATX to 8 Pin ATX Adapter

    (2) Use an akasa PCIE to 8 Pin ATX Adapter (yes they do exist)

    Which would you opt for?
