Following on from last year's success, Castle Variations will host their second showcase of original Irish talent on the grounds of Killaghy Castle. There will be performances by the Castle Variations Ensemble, Mia Sparrow, Percolator, Sunburnt Jets and Tim Harper. There will also be very special sets by Kilkenny DJ Shane Dabinett and Lunar Disco DJ Andy Doyle.

The Event will take place in and around the grounds of Killaghy Castle from Friday 12th of August until Sunday 14th of August. Guests are welcome to arrive on Friday evening and set up their tents, settle in and admire the beautiful castle surroundings. In addition to the performances, there will be an open jam room, a giant treasure hunt, food and lots of fun.

The Castle Variations Ensemble 2011 consists of a number of musicians from different backgrounds who are coming together specifically for this event. The concept of the project is to offer a residential production unit, to provide a creative platform for musicians of all genres, to create an environment to streamline production time and for musicians to perform their original compositions to a critical audience.

The musicians in the CV Ensemble will be living in the castle for the week leading up the event. During the week they will compose an original body of work to be performed on the Saturday night.

This promises to be a unique and fun filled event.

If you would like to attend, please contact the Castle Variations Team through our website or facebook. Tickets are only €25.
