    Hi.

I'm planning on going shopping to Dublin this week and I was wondering where the best shops are for ladies and teenagers clothes? Is Dundrum good or would the city be better?
    Thanks in advance :)

Dundrum is good if you hate crowds, heat, walking and other city problems. Unfortunately stock is limited in some stores.

If you don't mind the city, Dublin has better selection stock wise and has more store selection if you are up for a bit of walking. And if you don't find it on Grafton Street, there's Henry Street etc and vice versa. The Topshop in Dublin is infinitely better than the tiny space in Dundrum.

I'm lucky to live up the road from both dundrum and town. I personally would favour going town over Dundrum as there is a bigger selection of shops and I find the shops in Dundrum seem to get the oldish stock so they wouldn't have a lot of the sizes plus I think Dundrum is aimed more for teenagers/young women with the shops if you're looking for highstreet because the more elderly womens clothes shops are more designers in Dundrum but in town you have everything highstreet! And Henry/Mary street is so good for shopping now I hardly even bother going up to Grafton!

Thanks so much for the replies.
I think we will head for the city so :).. And if we have time at the end we might call into Dundrum for an hour just for a peek.

Hey - does anyone know the name of the shop in Dublin which sold designer samples clothes, think it was on Ireland AM a long time ago?? Your help would be appreciated.

Gonna pimp my trusty old map again! There's a lot of vintage places listed, but also the high street ones.. For your teenager you'll want to head over to the north side for New Look and Forever 21. If you see something in Topshop on Grafton and they don't have your size, ask them to ring ahead to Arnotts or Jervis St and get them to check for you and out it on hold.

For yourself, Arnotts would have a lot of the brands you see in Dundrum as stand alones or in House of Fraser.
