    Hey all,

My brother dropped out of 2nd year of a construction course in 2010 and has now been accepted into a University course starting in September.

    • He works part-time and recieves social welfare assistance.
    • He is an independant mature candidate
Will he have to pay fees and registration for the first year (5000euro) or is there a way he can be assisted with this?

I read through a lot of threads and couldn't find an answer so sorry if I'm repeating a previous question,

    Thanks in advance!

    Hey,

Was the first course at the same level as the course he is about to start (i.e are they both level 8 degrees?)

If they are the same level, he would be liable to pay full fees for the first two years of the new course.

Layah, I'm in the the same kind of position at the minute, sorry I can't offer you any advice but maybe you can help me; after dropping out did your brother have to wait until he was eligible to be classed as a mature student to enrol in a new course?
