    Hello All,

I am attempting to climb/hike Mont Blanc in September with a team of the best out door hikers you can imagine. Everyone has lots more experience and gear than I do but Im trying to tackle that now so heres a few questions I'd like advice on.

    1. Is €400 the average price for Alpine suitable hiking boots?

    2. Are Borreals the best of the best?

    3. I got a quote of €150 on some Vasque M Possible, are these any good?

    4. Trespass are having a 50% sale at the moment, is the gear from them suitable for a Mont Blanc trip?

For all of my gear I got one quote of €900 and a different shop quote me €1250. It really does pay to shop around.

OK thats enough for now, any advice greatly appreciated.

There is a Trespass outlet shop in Banbridge just north of Newry that is very cheap. You might be able to get a few bits there.
