Beetle ID?

I was wondering if anybody could help me identify this beetle I found in a sand dune in south Wexford. The beetle is approximately 15mm in length. The 5 segmented tarsi and filiforme antennae suggest its a ground beetle but I cant key it out in the books I have.

Thanks Nikolas Long Transistor. I have been using both that key and Martin Luff's key and still no joy regards identification.

Im just after finding out that its not in fact a ground beetle but a carrion beetle Phosphuga atrata, which feeds on snails as well as carrion.
