After buying my Madone 4.5 which has a built sensor in the chainstay.

Does anyone know what computers are compatible and where would be the cheapest place to get them?

I know Garmins work with it, but that's a bit outside my budget.

    Thanks. ;)

As far as I know they are ANT+ sensors - so anything you see listed as compatible with ANT+ will work.

From a quick google, it looks like the Madone 4.5 has the Bontrager DuoTrap speed/cadence sensor, which seems to be an ANT+ compatible sensor. This page looks to list at least some of the compatible computers out there if you want to take a look there. From there you might be able to narrow down models, and in turn stockists.

    Thanks to both of you.

Also to note, any madones I saw didnt actually come with the sensor - just a 'duotrap ready' placeholder that looked like a sensor but actually wasnt... Did yours actually come with the real deal?

Just had a look - I had assmued it was built in. It says "DuoTrap Ready" and has the ANT+ logo. There's a large circular metal object inside the shielding, so not sure if that's the transmitter or what it is...

I don't think any of the Treks come with the sensor built in. Which is a bit **** when you've paid enough for the bike.

Thanks Seamus. That is a bit of a .... . Don't need it right away, but would like to transfer my old computer (on new bike atm) to my old bike which will be used for college.
