    Hi
I'm planning a trip to Brazil, Rio - Paraty - Iguazu - BA.
However I have 3 wks so have time to fit in another place or two..

Any suggestions - Mendoza, Bonito or the Pantanal have been suggested

If Pantanal or Bonito where would be the best part of the trip to go - before/after Iguazu...

Open to other suggestions, however last stop has to be BA as I fly from there.

    Thanks!

Ilha Grande, off the coast from Angra dos Rios
Island with idyllic beaches, forest walks, no traffic. Not far from Parati , as far as I remember

Well, Mendoza isn't really northern Argentina. It's a few days drive south. Argentina is enormous. You could consider, instead, looping around the north to Salta and wander around Jujuy province, perhaps to Cafayate and into the moutains. If you had time, sticking your toe into Bolivia might be worth it. You could even fly to La Paz and enjoy the spectacular sub-tropical Yungas region. The road to Coroico is sublime.
