I was told recently it's normal for the Groom (me) to give some token present to the Bride on the morning (give it to her the night before, or send it with someone) but I've no idea what to get. Any ideas?

I've seen flowers being delivered to the bride to be (sometimes with champagne, sometimes without) about an hour before she leaves for the wedding. The note attached always reads something along the lines of "see you in an hour" or "I'll be sleeping with a married woman tonight - hope you don't mind" and my favourite was "Don't Do It - I've Always Loved You - Run Away with Me Now " signed Mr. X (the bride got it straight away but her parents had no idea - it was very funny to see the parents running around in a panic - at least they left the bride to be alone for a few minutes)

I think the idea of making her CD of music that means something to the both of you to get ready to is a nice idea. Personal too, and won't break the bank. It'll be a nice keepsake down the line also.

Flowers and CD both good ideas, not sure if she'd get a chance to listen to the CD though.

I just got her flowers. she did something special for me. She "put" together around 15 photos with captions on like an A3 sheet. All fancy with photoshop and captions under each photo charting our life together so far e.g. first photo ever, first party, first holiday, first bday, first wedding attended etc etc. Really nice and simple touch!

I like the idea of a letter. Doesn't have to be long, just heartfelt. And it would be lovely to have for future years :-)

I got her a swaroski crystal chain just with a single crystal and flowers.

I have heard of everything from flowers and letters to jewellery and even a shopping trip to NYC. I will probably be going the jewellery route as well.
