RTE NL is replacing their 'Collins Barracks' (Camp field/Patricks Hill) tower in Cork city - attached is a picture (not great quality) taken last week - Thursday 14 july with both towers side by side, the old tower to be dismantled on the right. RTE NL is replacing their 'Collins Barracks' (Camp field/Patricks Hill) tower in Cork city - attached is a picture (not great quality) taken last week - Thursday 14 july with both towers side by side, the old tower to be dismantled on the right.
The site transmits both analogue and DTT TV.
I understand the old/original tower dates from the late 1970s around the time RTE2 went on air.
