We are having our first outing on 13 August and we were wondering how we would go about deciding handicaps for the first outing?? Will be a lot of players who have not been in a society before or have had a GUI and prob…

Hi Guys, were starting a new golf society in our local pub that 2 friends of mine recently leased out.. We are having our first outing on 13 August and we were wondering how we would go about deciding handicaps for the first outing?? Will be a lot of players who have not been in a society before or have had a GUI and prob dont have a clue what they should really play off. Is it fair to those whose golf we dont know anything about to start them of 18, i've heard some start them on 14 and adjust from there. Has anybody had this problem before ???? All help greatly appreciated.
