Hi there! Congrats on being accepted :) EPL is the first choice on my CAO so hopefully I'll be joining you there! :) Looks like a great course, so I've my fingers crossed that I got the points.

Not sure when you'll receive more information from DCU, but I'd guess it'll be relatively soon.

Hey thanks for the reply. I look forward to seeing you there in Sept, it indeed looks like a great course, I am a little worried about the maths part in economics. I might do the refresher course if possible. How did the leaving cert go for you??

From what I've read, it seems that a lot of the maths is calculus so that would be a good starting point if you wanted to read up on it beforehand. I wouldn't worry about it too much though because they'll be covering everything we need to know from the ground up. There's no grade requirement for maths (except to pass) and there's no requirement to have studied economics when applying through the CAO route, so they'll have to assume no prior knowledge :) Think the exams went well thanks :) Little under a month to results day.

What do you think about the optional year abroad as part of EPL? Just looking to get other opinions on it.

Yeah I'll be grand just I like to be on the ball with everything. The year abroad looks great but not sure I could afford it unless I sell a kidney or something :) I think that you are selected rather than opting to do the year abroad. It's down to how well you are doing on the course. I hope it all goes great with the Leaving results. Keep in touch and let me know how you get on. But I get the impression I'll see you come Sept.

Yeah, I reckon it'd be an expensive year away! Not sure whether I really want to do it anyway, so it might suit me just as well not to have the option :D.

Hope your prediction is right! :) If it is, I look forward to seeing you there :). I'll let you know what happens next month :).

Very well indeed thanks! :D I got 505 points, so 100 more than needed. Offers are out on Monday so until then there's nothing definite but it looks very likely that I'll be joining you in September :).
