problem with windows 7 starter

    alright got a new laptop in january its been running fine until about 2 months ago it stopped installing the automatic updates,just an error saying they failed, now the same ones keep coming up and failing now the new update for explorer wont update so adobe isnt really working in that, so does anyone have any idea whats up or should i just restore it back to factory settings theres not much on it,its only a netbook i use for browsing the web and watching movies so i can do that but is it a good idea

    try a system restore to back before the updates and see if they go cleanly this time

    i tried a system restore the only options are for the 14th which was only 6 days ago which is strange. i wanted to go back at least a month!think i might just have to restore it back to when i got it
