I have a 2 month old estate car. Last week it was hit very hard by a football under the rear wiper, left a crater just under the crease 10 inches in width. I dont have a pic to hand but here is an image of the car model.

It may pull out with a sucker but I could possibly damage the paint, anyone here know a mobile dent guy around celbridge area.

    Thanks

If it's the bonet, could you not give it a smack yourself with a rubber mallet

Where are you? Would be worth sending a picture to a paintless dent removal company. Dent devil in Cork is excellent if you fancy a spin. Best I've come across.

If the metal isn't creased you could try the hair dryer and freezer spray trick. Many people don't even use freezer spray, just a can of compressed air. Worth a try, lots of you tube videos of it being done...

This is one of my pet hates, people playing football around my car, even if there is no dent, it can leave multiple scratches, I alway tell the kids in the street to go and play outside their door beside the their parents car

Is it a metal boot lid or are they plastic?

The old model laguna estate had a plastic boot lid.

If it is plastic, should be a lot easier to have a go at yourself. See if you can get access behind and hopefully it will just pop out.

I saw this guy driving around a while back, I have no idea what his work is like, but it might be worth your while contacting him for a quote.

Although this method may work, it is very very bad for the paintwork...don't do it!

Can of compressed air held upside down = poor man's freezer spray. :D

OP, don't try this on a new car.

I did, she's gone since end of April. Miss her but she needed so much spending on her.

2 new wishbones, balljoints, bushes, anti roll bar stabilisers, abs sensor, airbag sensor, speedo stopped working (but not rev counter), 4 new tyres, 4 shocks all round, new pads + discs on the front, new drivers seat, jatco box oil needed to be changed, and a few other monor things too.

Pity, they're nice cars. Fixing that lot'd cost you a lot less than the price of a new Renault though.

    Not really.

New car is working out 250 a month cheaper than rover to fuel and tax.
Thats the car paid for in 5 years alone.

I could have put 2 grand into the rover easily and then no g'tee of future engine or auto box problems.

Now I have a 5 year warr, and the new one is a peach. If you haven't driven one try it out.
