Wireless printing advice

Heres the scenario.

Laptop downstairs, running on Eircom broadband. Connected wireless to router.
Runs perfect (touch wood).
Router is in attic.
Printer is in kitchen but is in the way.
I would like to move the printer upstairs to spare room. I would also like to connect to printer using wireless. Printer is not a wireless printer, just USB.

Is there any way I can do this.

you could probably buy a wi fi usb key and connect to the printer to enable it wirelessly, but you would need to check the suitability of the printer for this. sometimes the usb is just for connecting to your pc/laptop. you can get wireless printers now very cheap, around €60 - i recently got a deal with officekey.ie when i telephoned and got them to reduce price on a brother machine. it's working really well and I can print from anywhere in the house. only problem is the kids can too!

I have a Canon MX340 at home, prints wirelessly from anywhere in the house, i think you can pick them up for about 50 euro

I can print wirelessly from multiple PCs / laptops to my bog-standard usb printer which is nicely tucked away. It's £45 quid now, think I paid 80-odd for it 6 months ago. Easy to setup too.

Apart from connecting the printer to another Pc upstairs and allow it to share the printer..No
Edit: Or you could try usb print server (wired or wireless) heres a link to a wireless But as the other guyss said you'd prob pick up a cheap wireless printer for less. ..

you can get decent enough wirless enables printers for about 50 quid as above, should be alrite and easy to set up

think i padi about 50-60 for my canon wireless and that was over a year ago, so should be able to find something reasonably priced!
