Car radio problems

    Our car radio has recently stopped working. It is receiving power, so the standby screen is constantly on, but it won't do anything past that. We have taken off the front panel and opened it up, but as I have no experience with microchips or anything like that, the most I can do is clean it, which didn't do anything.

    The model is a Sony Drive-s cdx-s1000. I was wondering if anyone had any idea what is wrong with it or if there are any suggestions as to how to fix this. Thanks in advance.

    Have a look at www.fixya.com . here's an extract to a similar issue:
    Press and hold the SELECT button. (the setup display appears) Press SELECT button several times until Demo appears. Rotate the volume knob to turn Demo to off. Press and hold SELECT. This will return the unit to normal operation / display. Page 9 of this link to your Sony CDX-GT130 operating instructions.
