Bolt all the way through and plate on inside.

What's the outer skin (that you're actually bolting to/through) made of?

Theyre pebbledashed boards mounted on a timber frame. Ill look more closely tonight.

Inthe attic the wall has a plywood and frame which seems to have a couple inches iof a concrete between that and the outside pebbledashed board. I looked at the sky dish and it seems to be bolted in. I guess http://www.tvtrade.ie/shield-anchor-loose-bolt-m8x10mm.html will do the trick.

Well, speaking for myself I know nothing about construction beyond concrete blocks, so it might be worth posting in the Construction or DIY forums, rather than wait for a reply here.
